So much so, that we decided since our condo is too small to add another dog at this time, we'd find a way for him to get more social interaction and exercise. So we take him to "doggy daycare" everyday with his buddy Jethro (cousin's pooch), where he is the life of the party. We were a little nervous about it at first because there are all kinds and sizes of dogs, but no greyhounds. It's been fantastic. He loves it, and the business owners are there everyday, who are wonderful -- they even helped him get over his chase instinct! Now he's on puppy patrol, where he's in charge of keeping the puppies in line, and has learned how to act like a real dog -- rolling around in the baby pool, chasing balls and kongs, and showing excitement when he's happy. He's come a long way since those first days of being terrified of stairs and the dark. And we've been kicked off our couch... |
